What does the post-industrial landscape look like as an ecotopia? What does the community look like? Inspired by Félix Guattari’s theory of the three ecologies—mental, social, and environmental—this ceramic collection explores the collective reinvention of the urban environment. The artwork archives an extensive visual research project conducted between 2023 and 2026, anchoring itself in a collection of public wishes for a sustainable urban future.

Translating visions and collective imaginations gathered across Sweden, Finland, and Germany, the series consists of handcrafted ceramic bottles containing illustrated scrolls. Materially, the work plays with the tension between fragile Lokta paper and heavy, grounding clay. The interplay of a textured, moss-like glaze and fluid watercolors creates layered depths that mirror the natural liveliness of an ecotopia. Alongside these tactile sculptures, an interactive digital interface allows visitors to digitally reveal the hidden contents through their shadows and lights, which are captured by web camera. Ultimately, this collection explores how urban societies can forge new, healed relationships with the nature around them, shifting the post-industrial narrative from decay to collective imagination.
